I am in the video as well and I am honestly terrified and very hesitant to do it.
I have always been very private and have avoided posting any RL pictures of myself.
I am very self-conscious of my looks and have a self-image problem so this was very hard for me to do, but Draxtor was very friendly and professional which made it easier. He is the best at what he does and he did an amazing job with the video.
The video also tells the story of how Editorial Clarity and I met and fell in love.
I agreed to do this video because I want everyone to know that LOVE IS POSSIBLE, even in a virtual world. Many people have doubted us and so many things were always in the way, but we have made it work despite of the distance and the obstacles. We are planning on getting married in Real life and will be living together in Chicago. ❤

It is really amazing to me how Second Life can be used in a variety of ways including as a teaching tool in classrooms. I wished Second Life was used in all my classes when I was back in school. We are so honored Torley Linden visited our home and Rico’s Tea House. As you can see, Edi is like awed, shocked and captured in his fan girl moment. Edi vowed to do two things. This day is now declared Torley Linden Day on our land in honor of his visit and we are going to have a plaque made with two foot prints saying ”Torley Stood here” and put it in the floor. Hehe! MY MODELLING FAREWELLYesterday, once and for all, I finally decided to hang up my modelling career in Second Life. I have been semi-retired for a long time now, always still have one foot inside the door occasionally doing shows, magazine prints and vendor ads for friends. I just cant see myself doing shows anymore and even doing magazine prints and vendor pictures seems like a chore. The fun and excitement is no longer there and for better or worse, the Second Life Fashion Industry is much different now.
As I left my agencies and designer groups one by one, I was filled with bittersweet emotions. I can honestly say that I’ve had the time of my life. Though it was full of UPS and DOWNS, I’ve had very little regrets and I have always been true to myself. I’ve met a lot of wonderful friends from around the world; some I would call family which taught me love, kindness and acceptance. I’ve met enemies as well which taught me to be brave, strong and to stand up for myself and those I love. I have always been shy and quiet in RL but being a model in Second Life taught me confidence, self-respect and perseverance. It also taught me an important lesson: All the awards and supertags, all the VIP titles and Elite memberships, all the exclusive invites to events, etc… absolutely DOES NOT MATTER in the end. I have been a member of many top agencies and designer groups, been honored with many awards and magazine cover features and there was a time when I was winning every contest I entered (or at least top3) but you know what? In 10-20 years time, no one will remember or care. I believe what matters are the lasting friendships we’ve made that transcends into real life. How you treat people matters because they will always remember kindness even in a virtual world. What matters the most are the people I’ve met all over the world.
I want to thank everyone who had supported my SL modelling career and gave me chances and opportunities. Thank you for believing in me and helping me accomplished all my dreams and goals. Thank you to every single one of my modelling and magazine agencies and designer groups that I’ve had the honor and pleasure to be part of. There are so many people to mention but you know who all of you are. With all my heart and sincerity, I can’t thank you enough and I wish you all love and success in both lives.
I will still be in Second Life from time to time but behind the scenes focusing on artistic projects and magazine articles. You need a model? This old fart is retired. LOL :p

Challenge – Style in the mood of having been betrayed.

Casting requirements
1) Avatars minimum age 1.5 yrs old
2) Speaks understandable English (Interviews in text will be held)
3) Has either a flickr portfolio or fashion blog of at least 6 months worth of fashion styles
4) Human avatars only

1) Each resident must ONLY submit 1 entry/1 style with both a close up and full body photo
2) Professional editing NOT allowed as we want to see styling skills NOT photo shop skills

Scene 1: The Damsel
The night was hot and humid. The kind of night where everything sticks to your skin, including the constant outpouring of sweat. I sat quietly in my lousy office in a lousy part of a lousy town. Just another down on his luck detective with nothing left to lose. I would take a smoke from my cigar and slowly toy with it, twirling it between my fingers, stopping only as I exhale.
That’s when I saw her…the blond bombshell…pale skin, red lips, deep blue eyes with hair that matched the paleness of her skin. What caught my attention was her hands…dripping and covered in that red sticky fluid I knew so well. As she began to walk, I shot to my feet and ran towards her, thinking the blood was hers. In that moment, she dropped down to her knees, taking me with her. She said to me, her voice cracking and begging, “I’ve been incriminated, Help Me!!!”

2 types of castings.
1) Casting – Fixed models (Style Kingdom Magazine’s official model team)
– Needs to be a certified model
– Certificate(s) can be from any agency in Second Life
– Needs to be at least minimum 1 yr old
– Needs to be searchable in-world
– Models already in Style Kingdom Magazine group need to cast if you want to be part of the models team.
2) Casting – Vol 4 models (ONLY model for Vol 4 of Style Kingdom Magazine)
– Do not need to be certified models
– Needs to be searchable in-world
– Has a good attitude and able to work well with other models & photographers
– Models already in Style Kingdom Magazine group need to cast at casting parties or drop mail at the office (details below)

Style Kingdom Magazine HQ & Auditorium has finally been set up!!!
We’ll be providing FREE basic styling, posing and photography seminars by invited certified models and established photographers.
Our HQ & Auditorium is NOT an agency but meant to be a non-profit education center, focusing on Second Life fashion, modeling and photography.
We also have a mini mall for store owners to set up shop and limited boards to place vendor ads, all for FREE. No rental cost ever AND 100% your store makes goes back to you, not us!!!
Application – Students
1) Need to be at least 3 months old
2) Searchable and contactable
3) Willing to suit schedules of instructors
4) Have a keen interest in SL modeling
5) A learning attitude
Application – Instructors
1) Certified by SL modeling agencies (minimum requirement – 1 certificate)
2) Able to speak understandable English
3) Willing to be patient
4) Able to hold a seminar at least once every 2 weeks
Note : Instructors will be paid.

The FASHION TELLER is looking for a couple of fresh faces (Male or Female) to join the family. Anyone can apply and doesn’t have to be an experienced model but He/She must be a master stylist capable of creating a look in any scenario. We totally depend on our models to creatively style and BE the character they are portraying in our books, so it is imperative that they are able to style in any fashion. We are looking for unique and creative people who would love to be part of the group for the sake of making fashion art stories. We are not an agency but a group of friends and family who are proud of the work we do to create something beautiful. This will be our only casting for 2013 and we can only hire a couple of models as we try to limit our members so we can provide work for everyone.

HOW TO APPLY:
1. Follow the styling challenge asked and take a picture (Professional or SnapShot) of the complete look. You must use more than 3 different designers to create your look. Please provide a style card under your flickr pic. Be creative, different and inventive. We want you to be imaginative so don’t be afraid to be dramatic and extraordinary. Think outside the box.
2. Title your picture “FT CASTING” in Flickr and post it on the Fashion Teller Flickr Site here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/the_fashion_teller/. SEND a copy of your full permission picture inworld or by email to RicoRacer Flux (RicoRacerFlux@yahoo.com). May submit up to two pictures per person. The DEADLINE is April 13, 2013 at 1300 SLT. Please no MORPHS or RL pics.
3. The winners shall be announced on this blog and URWORLD inworld group. Copy and paste this URL in local chat inworld and click join: secondlife:///app/group/8dad7856-17cf-d7d3-b388-36ffa3d1245b/about .
4. If you are chosen, you will be invited to The Fashion Teller group as part of the team and eligible to cast for any of our events/projects. You will also be eligible to cast in any of our other projects outside the Fashion Teller.

The year is 3045 and the world has scarce resources left. Many fashionable people have resort to using materials and items outside the box. The futuristic Kingdom of STYLISTA is inviting its citizens to attend a grand ball looking for the most stylish to rule the land.
