MY MODELLING FAREWELLYesterday, once and for all, I finally decided to hang up my modelling career in Second Life. I have been semi-retired for a long time now, always still have one foot inside the door occasionally doing shows, magazine prints and vendor ads for friends. I just cant see myself doing shows anymore and even doing magazine prints and vendor pictures seems like a chore. The fun and excitement is no longer there and for better or worse, the Second Life Fashion Industry is much different now.
As I left my agencies and designer groups one by one, I was filled with bittersweet emotions. I can honestly say that I’ve had the time of my life. Though it was full of UPS and DOWNS, I’ve had very little regrets and I have always been true to myself. I’ve met a lot of wonderful friends from around the world; some I would call family which taught me love, kindness and acceptance. I’ve met enemies as well which taught me to be brave, strong and to stand up for myself and those I love. I have always been shy and quiet in RL but being a model in Second Life taught me confidence, self-respect and perseverance. It also taught me an important lesson: All the awards and supertags, all the VIP titles and Elite memberships, all the exclusive invites to events, etc… absolutely DOES NOT MATTER in the end. I have been a member of many top agencies and designer groups, been honored with many awards and magazine cover features and there was a time when I was winning every contest I entered (or at least top3) but you know what? In 10-20 years time, no one will remember or care. I believe what matters are the lasting friendships we’ve made that transcends into real life. How you treat people matters because they will always remember kindness even in a virtual world. What matters the most are the people I’ve met all over the world.
I want to thank everyone who had supported my SL modelling career and gave me chances and opportunities. Thank you for believing in me and helping me accomplished all my dreams and goals. Thank you to every single one of my modelling and magazine agencies and designer groups that I’ve had the honor and pleasure to be part of. There are so many people to mention but you know who all of you are. With all my heart and sincerity, I can’t thank you enough and I wish you all love and success in both lives.
I will still be in Second Life from time to time but behind the scenes focusing on artistic projects and magazine articles. You need a model? This old fart is retired. LOL :p

Scene 1: The Damsel
The night was hot and humid. The kind of night where everything sticks to your skin, including the constant outpouring of sweat. I sat quietly in my lousy office in a lousy part of a lousy town. Just another down on his luck detective with nothing left to lose. I would take a smoke from my cigar and slowly toy with it, twirling it between my fingers, stopping only as I exhale.
That’s when I saw her…the blond bombshell…pale skin, red lips, deep blue eyes with hair that matched the paleness of her skin. What caught my attention was her hands…dripping and covered in that red sticky fluid I knew so well. As she began to walk, I shot to my feet and ran towards her, thinking the blood was hers. In that moment, she dropped down to her knees, taking me with her. She said to me, her voice cracking and begging, “I’ve been incriminated, Help Me!!!”

Yesterday, We celebrated our 20th month Anniversary since we got married. It was a lovely day as we worked on creating an amazing secret garden. The place is just fantastic and so peaceful. Edi and I have been through so much in the past two years. Several friends have even tried to break us apart but they all failed because one thing is clear.. LOVE WILL ALWAYS PREVAIL. If you ever find love in SL or RL, don’t let anything or anyone ruin it. Love is all that matters. In less than two months, we will be spending time in RL all summer. We can’t wait.

I have been on Second life for four years now and I have to thank SL for making me tougher and braver than what I was. When I first came to SL, I was painfully shy, very trusting, very giving and just a pushover. I was afraid to talk to people and I was a doormat for most to step on. The past couple of years have really opened my eyes to how horrible people can be especially when they hide behind their avatars, feeling no responsibility for their actions. I’ve been betrayed in the most horrible way. I’ve been humiliated and shamed. I’ve met plenty of fake friends who values more on what they can get out of you than anything else. I’ve met liars who spread filth all over the grid, not caring what their words do. And many others… But I learned that No one can hurt me unless I allow them to. I learned to not care what others say about me because these haters are not important in my life. I refuse for anyone to have any power over me especially in a Virtual Game. I don’t care who you are and how high and mighty you think you are….I won’t bow to anyone but I also won’t look down on anyone. I give respect and praise when it is earned. I will confront and fight if you do me wrong. I treat everyone equally. I’m not perfect though I don’t judge.

I had these items in my inventory for a long time now and today I was inspired to do a modern day Samurai. A man who is very brave and honorable. A man who will stand up for what’s right and will fight for love.
I love unique items…they always catch my eye like these asymmetric shirt by 22769. It is simple but the way its created just pops. I combined it with another unique creation from SHI called Drape Bermudas. To add a bit of color and drama, the red sash/bow is from DRIFT. I love the whole new look. I hope it will inspire you to create your own hero/heroine.

This weekend, I found myself in heaven as gorgeous Angels came to present the latest GABRIEL Spring Collection 2013 at tou-Gen-kyo. The two day event was a massive success attended by many of Second Life’s Elite. The set was just heavenly with large columns all over a white magnificent build. The floating clouds and particles reminds you of heaven where Angels, ahem I mean models, greet and welcome you as you enter Heaven’s door. Whether in heaven or not, Takuya Jinn’s new collection is amazing showing easy style and comfort which oozes sex appeal and masculinity. I just love a blazer with nothing underneath but bare chest. It is a very sexy look. The new collection will be out soon at tou-Gen-kyo, so keep an eye out. Thank you to Takuya Jinn and Takeshi Bigbear for having me in this show. It was a pleasure working with amazing models and highly professional staff.
ABOVE, I am wearing a MESH Gabriel white spring suit which includes a jacket, belt and pants. The hat is also from Gabriel called Zebra Hat. I love the classy relaxed style which can be worn in any occasion. In this gorgeous outfit and in this stage, I feel like a very fashionable Saint Peter welcoming lost souls in heaven. ;p
Whether you’re a lost soul in heaven or an expert navigator, you should always look your best. I really love this new Gabriel beige double jacket with stole combined with half pants. Don’t I look like a movie star? hehe. Again, the style shows class and easy comfort. I accessories with gloves from REDGRAVE, Bag from Mon Tissu, glasses from Diram. necklace from Mandala, headphones from FNKY and hair from DURA called DURA boy #24.
This Angel above is wearing the new Gabriel double jacket in zebra pattern with white pantsuit. He carries a saxophone that plays sweet melody as you enter heaven’s gateway. The necklace is also Gabriel called Crest choker. The gloves is from Cheerno, sunglasses from FNKY, and Hat and hair from Entente. I love this zebra pattern on the suit…the muted design shows the right amount of unique style without being loud.

Love this new release hair by DURA called DURA boy # 41. It is clean and loosely piled back but with a couple strands coming down in the front. It looks almost windswept and carefree. It comes in many colors and a resize script. DURA hair has been one of my favorites for a long time because it is very well made and detail oriented.

SUIT by VERO MODERO: Rico Suit
This is the newest suit by Vero Modero called The Rico Suit. Thank you to Bouquet Babii for the honor. I love it because the patterns on the jacket are just fantastic. The creme colored jacket combined with the maroon colored pants makes a very striking combination which is perfect for VALENTINE’s DAY and other special occasions. It is MESH and I think it can be worn by ladies as well. I saw several ladies looking sharp in it in their blogs. ❤
