The Face of Menswear Fashion Week 2012
Menswear Fashion Week 2012 is returning March 23rd-31st, 2012! We want to find a new fresh face to represent MWFW 2012!
The Contest will run from February 2012 to March 2012 and comprise two parts.
The first part is a photo contest where we want to see your personal style and expression. We want you to take items from our contest sponsors and create an image that represents you. Be creative, Be Unique, Be Interesting, Be Expressive, Be You!

From the photo entries 10 Semi-Finalist will be selected to compete in a runway finale. There will be three sections and one question to the runway finale.
1. Casually You: We want to see you and your casual style. You may select anything from your wardrobe to show you and your personal sense of everyday style.
2. Style Challenge: All of the semi-finalist will be given the same outfit and expected to accessorize and create your own vision and look.
3. Runway Fabulous: We want to see you at your couture best. There are no rules but to let your imagination run wild. Get creative and bring something interesting, unique, and original to the runway!

Photo Contest Rules:
1. Outfits must come from one of the above listed sponsors. Poses, Hair, Shoes, props, and Backgrounds may come from inventory or other places.
2. Each participant will submit 1 photo to the Siren Productions Flickr group. http://www.flickr.com/groups/1393646@N23/ This photo should be labeled with your name and name of the competition (i.e. Lexie Jansma: Face of Menswear Fashion Week 2012). Models should also include complete style cards listing all items worn, pose, and photographer if photographer was not contestant.
3. The use of photoshop and other image manipulation software is allowed. All photos should be 1024 x 1024 or 2048 x 1024.
4. Images can be submitted between February 1st, 2012 and March 20th, 2012. Images submitted after this will be invalid. The 10 semi-finalist will be announced on the MWFW Flickr. Siren Productions Website, and the MWFW 2012 Website.
5. Contest winners will be selected by a panel of 5 judges comprised of members selected from sponsors. All decisions by judges are final. Arguing, complaining, or fighting will be grounds for disqualification and exclusion from the contest.
6. Siren Productions and partners reserve all rights to keep and use submitted images as they see fit without additional compensation to model and photographer.
7. Women are most certainely welcome to take part in the contest. However their styling, outfits, and choices should reflect menswear styling, outfits created for men, or unisex creations.

Runway Competition Rules:
1. All 10 finalist will walk in a final runway show on Saturday March 31st, 2012. A panel of 5 judges will make the final decision as to who the Face of Menswear Fashion Week 2012 is.
2. There will be 3 sections of competition and a question from the judges. During section C the contestants will be given a question to answer. This will be a text question and can be answered in text.

B. Style Challenge: All of the semi-finalist will be given the same outfit and expected to accessorize and create your own vision and look.

3. Contestants will provide a short 3 to 5 sentence description for each of the three looks by March, 29 2012 or be disqualified from competition.

MENSWEAR Fashion Week 2012 Casting
PRESS RELEASE: MENSWEAR FASHION WEEK 2012 MODEL SEARCH
Hello Models!
You are invited to take part in our annual castings for a chance to participate in MWFW 2012 shows this coming March 23rd-31st. If you are already in the Siren Productions group, there is no need to do this casting.
▣ What we’re looking for:
MALE and FEMALE models with impeccable mens/unisex styling.
▣ Casting Information:
When: Thursday 26th, January 2012 – 4pm SLT
1. All notecard submissions must be made prior
to the time of the casting.
2. We ask that you arrive to the casting location at least 15-25 minutes before we begin at 4pm SLT.
MFW 2012 MODEL SEARCH : BACKSTAGE
What you need:
1. A fully styled Swimwear look ready to be worn at the time of castings. Be mindful that you will be assessed on prim adjustment and coordination technique.
2. DVC hud for cueing
3. Your casting application must be sent in.
∙Send your application to Garrett Ceriano by Thursday 26th, January 2012 – 12pm SLT
∙Make sure to rename the notecard with your name in the name field and save it. All applications without names will be discarded.
∙Snapshots must not be edited and must be 1024×1024. We want to see your skin and shape so please dress minimally. Head and full body shots must be unedited. Formal shot may be slightly edited. Full perms please.

The biggest week long event dedicated only to SL Men’s Fashion is back and it is better than ever with over 25 diverse shows and parties. A lot of new items from the best designers in SL Menswear will be unveiled. Anything you desire… Casual, Formal, Goth, Punk, Couture, Fantasy….You can find it here!

Menswear Fashion Week HIRING Male Models
Greetings Models,
It’s Male Fashion Week 2011 (MFW) time again and yes, Siren Productions is going to kick butt with another awesome full week of male fashion shows and parties so you guessed it, we need good, experienced male runway models. Those who participated last year know what we expect and how we kind of run things, how hectic, and fast paced it is so if you don’t work well under the gun, don’t bother applying.
Pay is not alot – 150L per show that you walk in but you will gain tons of friends and contacts in the fashion world and EXPOSURE
(PAY IS GIVEN AFTER THE ENTIRE WEEKS EVENTS ARE OVER JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS UP FRONT)
We have very limited time between shows and there is only 1 (1-1/2 hour rehearsal) right before each show. Models must attend to learn the walk and have outfits looked over by staff.
The schedule listed on the enclosed notecard is simply a timeline and not set in stone and all the designers/shows are not finalized as of this date.
Our events get huge press with places like Molto, Avenue, KMadd and more so it’s a great addition for your modeling resume. KMadd is a large sponsor again this year and will be providing some hair for shows.
BUT PLEASE: IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY FULLY TRAINED IN RUNWAY MODELING/QUICK CHANGE ETC, DO NOT APPLY AS WE, UNFORTUNATELY DON’T HAVE TIME TO TRAIN NEW MODELS.
Let me just say that despite what many males may think, SL has fabulous male fashion designers, alot of them are just not so well known and we find those as well and also feature some of the more popular ones.
If you are interested in participating in this years MFW, please follow the directions below:

Ok that’s it for now, once you’ve been accepted for the event, you will be invited to the Siren Production group so please make sure you have a group slot open for that week, if you can’t free one up until closer to event, that’s fine, just let me know.
Here is the tentative schedule (dates/times should be pretty set) it’s just the designers/shows we must finalize so look at your SL and RL schedules and make up the folder for me. We send out a ton of notices in the Siren’s group once the ball is fully rolling on the show plans, number of models needed for each, etc so you’ll need to watch the notices or check them daily if you turn off your notices.
