We are looking for five men from various backgrounds and industries who can give us the TRIPLE THREAT: substance, style and sex appeal!

When I won Maniera Magazine’s Men of Style back in 2009, I was only a few month’s old in SL and just discovered modeling. Winning this contest put my name in the spotlight and helped launched my modeling career. Most of all, winning this contest allowed me to meet many wonderful people especially my mentor and SL mom, Topaz Joubert. Thank you Maniera.

For over a year, I have been on the process of launching an Equal Rights Awareness Charity in Second Life in the belief that two consenting adults should have the right to love and marry regardless whether they are Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered or Straight. I was set to launched last summer (Free2Love) with the help of friends but to be honest I was always afraid. What if no one listens or worse, be humiliated and attacked for something I believed in? I waited and wondered that somebody should be doing something about this. Then I realized I AM SOMEBODY. I’ve been taught that NO ONE WOULD LISTEN IF YOU DON’T SPEAK UP. You can’t just sit on your butt and expect people to open their minds. If I can just open only one mind and make him/her realize that two people should be able to love and marry, then I have achieved my goal. If President Obama can risked his Presidency by supporting Gay Marriage, then I am here STANDING UP 4 Love and I hope you will join me as well. 🙂

Each one of us has the right to liberty, justice and the pursuit of happiness. Everyone has the right to love and be loved in return. GAY, LESBIAN, STRAIGHT, TRANSGENDERED or BISEXUAL…..Sexual Orientation or Race shouldn’t Matter. The FREEDOM to LOVE is fundamental as the FREEDOM to BREATHE. Two adults should have the right to love without discrimination and intolerance. Marriage should be available to any loving couple. Let’s end hatred and discrimination now.

STAND 4 LOVE is an awareness project set to launch this summer 2012 to promote the visibility and rights of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Straight couples. It will be a picture campaign in Second Life to spread awareness. I am planning to published all the pictures in the CSLTM/ URWORLD blogs as well as in the STAND4LOVE Facebook and flickr. I will take the best pictures with the best message and bind them in a book to publish in SL & Issuu. I am looking for supporters and sponsors in this project. I am not looking for money or donations. Just some help to spread the word. If you are a photographer and would like to help take pictures, it would be awesome. If you are a blogger and would like to spread the message in your blog, we love you for it. If you would like to join the efforts and truly believe in the cause, we would love to have you. MANIERA LLC. announces launch of MANIERA Magazine into real life
WASHINGTON D.C. – MANIERA Magazine, one of Second Life®’s premier magazines, officially announces the launch of their real life digital publication. Coming June 2012, MANIERA LLC will release a preview of the new venture of MANIERA.

The real life digital publication will focus on news, entertainment, celebrity interviews, fashion, business and lifestyle features.

MANIERA LLC will continue its monthly in-world Second Life version, which will now be known as MANIERA SL. The real life version will now be known solely as MANIERA. With the new changes, there will be a new Web site, in-world kiosk and branding in the near future.

“It’s been in the pipeline for the last two years and now it’s finally happening,” MANIERA CEO Topaz Joubert said. “Second Life is our home, and we have a strong base here. We hope our readers will follow both editions. The response and interest from inside and outside Second Life has been extremely positive. It will be a challenge to run two consecutive magazines both in Second Life and in real life but the entire MANIERA staff is up for the new challenges. It’s truly a dream come true.”

Joubert’s role will focus on the launch and development of the business platform for the real life version of the publication. The day to day operations for MANIERA in both Second Life and real life will be overseen by Chief Operations Officer Aphrodite Brianna.

“This is an exciting time for us all at MANIERA,” Brianna said. “We have a fantastic product and a fantastic team behind it. I am really proud to be a part of this.”

Ji Nirvana will oversee the editorial workflow as Editor-in-Chief for both publications.

“The launch of MANIERA into real life will be a challenge for all of us but I believe that we will succeed in producing a publication that we all can be proud of,” said Nirvana. “It’s exciting to be a part of team who is passionate and dedicated to making the real life version possible. I hope that the Second Life community will enjoy and stand behind both versions of the magazine they have come to love.”

 Maniera LLC. names Aphorodite Brianna as new COO and Ji Nirvana as new Editor in Chief

 WASHINGTON, DC — MANIERA announces the appointment two new key personnel into the COO and Editor in Chief positions. Aphrodite Brianna will oversee the day to day operations at MANIERA as the new COO. Her purview will include but are not limited to MANIERA Model Management, MANIERA Institute of Style and MANIERA Magazine.

 Ms. Brianna is a regular writer for MANIERA Magazine was formally the personal assistant to CEO Topaz Joubert as well as Director of Events Management at MANIERA. Her experience in running multiple sims, show production and event planning shows her strong management background, which provided her with the appropriate foundation required to take on the demanding role of COO.

 Ji Nirvana will oversee the production of MANIERA Magazine as the new Editor in Chief. Ms. Nirvana comes to MANIERA with a wealth of real life and Second LIfe journalism experience. She has formally held the position as Editor in Chief of Radar Magazine and is an establish real journalist.

MANIERA names Anabella Ravinelli as General Director.

Bringing over 4 years of experience in the fashion industry, Anabella Ravinelli joins Maniera Institute of Style™ as General Director.  Ravinelli will be responsible for the future development and the day-to-day operations of Maniera Institute of Style.

“She’s one of the most respected professionals in the modeling industry,” said Topaz Joubert, Maniera CEO. “A few of our models have actually been trained by her. She is very well respected, bringing in new ideas. We have same philosophy and approach training in the same way so it made sense. With her experience of running schools, this is something we needed. We need someone with that type of background and business know-how, and I expect great things for the next year.”

With a career spanning 4 years and two avatars, Ravinelli joined Second Life® in October 2006 where she began as a model, photographer and writer for ASpiRE! magazine.

After a short break, Ravinelli returned to the fashion industry in spring 2009. A few months later, she accepted her first teaching position with UVOGUE. After UVOGUE closed its doors, Ravinelli would be asked to join Fashion Institute (FI) as an instructor, also becoming a spokes model for Fashion Palace and the Director of Sophisticated Secrets Modeling Agency, all under the Fashion Palace umbrella.  By the height of FI, Ravinelli would be the Dean of Modeling and President of Fashion Institute.

“Much to my surprise I found the perfect fit for me,” Ravinelli said. “I had never known I would love teaching and taking care of students and instructors as I did.  I had found my spot in SL.”

In August, Ravinelli bought FI from then-owner Colby Pevensey before closing its doors in October due to financial strain.

“However, I’ve now been offered another amazing opportunity to run the Maniera Institute of Style, and I am very, very excited to be on board with such an amazing staff,” Ravinelli said. “I love the connections I’ve made throughout SL.  There are a LOT of amazing and talented people and businesses in the modeling world and without ANY of them, SL would not be what it is.  I’m very honored to be part of it.”

Maniera Institute of Style opened its doors in March 2009 as a model training institution.  Quickly gaining popularity and prestige as one of the best model training facilities, Topaz Joubert would change the direction of the Maniera Institute of Style to expand into all areas of fashion professional training.

“We changed the direction because there are so many great schools out there that are focused on runway,” said Joubert. “We felt there was a need for a school that’s devoted to training fashion professionals on styling techniques: how to style and fashion history as well. So combined with that, the history of certain fashion trends, posing and prim editing, it’s more of an in-depth study of the industry.”

Queens will open its doors officially on May 22, with a wonderful Fashion Show produced by Maniera Model Management, live DJ and dancing! The amazing creations of Queens will be presented for the very first time! Be the first ones to see, be the first ones to wear, and be the first Queens in SL!

Maniera Magazine, a Second Life fashion & lifestyle magazine, has been publishing high quality high fashion magazine in Second Life for over a year. It seems that each issue, they continue to outdo themselves. The March 2010 issue features Ms. Mina Pelazzi and Mr. RicoRacer Flux as the Faces of Moolto on the cover. The fun continues inside with Giant Snail Races, Faces of Moolto interview, 3636, and Nation of Victoriana.
