MANIERASL Magazine, Second Life’s top fashion and lifestyle magazine, is searching for five gorgeous guys who shine like gods to feature in our February 2013 Anniversary issue. We are looking for five men from various backgrounds and industries who can give us the TRIPLE THREAT: substance, style and sex appeal!

MANIERA Men of Style come from all backgrounds and in all varieties. They are models. They are writers. They are business owners. They are designers. They are DJs. They are roleplayers. They are explorers. They are activists. They are unique. These men come from all over the grid and walk like gods among the mere men on the SL® grid.

When I won Maniera Magazine’s Men of Style back in 2009, I was only a few month’s old in SL and just discovered modeling. Winning this contest put my name in the spotlight and helped launched my modeling career. Most of all, winning this contest allowed me to meet many wonderful people especially my mentor and SL mom, Topaz Joubert. Thank you Maniera.

She has been an inspiration in my life since I started modeling. She gave me my first big break when I won Maniera Men of Style in 2009; just several months after my Rez date in SL. She has been one of my mentors since the beginning and I can’t thank her enough for her generous support and genuine friendship. She has become my SL mom and she even gave me away at my wedding. Love ya, Topaz. You are a beautiful person inside and out. 🙂

 Maniera LLC. names Aphorodite Brianna as new COO and Ji Nirvana as new Editor in Chief

 WASHINGTON, DC — MANIERA announces the appointment two new key personnel into the COO and Editor in Chief positions. Aphrodite Brianna will oversee the day to day operations at MANIERA as the new COO. Her purview will include but are not limited to MANIERA Model Management, MANIERA Institute of Style and MANIERA Magazine.

 Ms. Brianna is a regular writer for MANIERA Magazine was formally the personal assistant to CEO Topaz Joubert as well as Director of Events Management at MANIERA. Her experience in running multiple sims, show production and event planning shows her strong management background, which provided her with the appropriate foundation required to take on the demanding role of COO.

 Ji Nirvana will oversee the production of MANIERA Magazine as the new Editor in Chief. Ms. Nirvana comes to MANIERA with a wealth of real life and Second LIfe journalism experience. She has formally held the position as Editor in Chief of Radar Magazine and is an establish real journalist.

 “Ji is much respected for her work in Second Life and a very accomplished journalist in real life. We are extremely fortunate to have her on board as Editor in Chief. I am certain that under editorship w ill be able to move Maniera to the next level,” MANIERA CEO Topaz Joubert said.

MANIERA Christmas Couture Contest

Want to have your own fashion spread in an upcoming Maniera magazine? Then this is the contest for you.
1. Prepare a runway styling based on an inspiration from a Christmas song/poem /story
2. Re-name this notecard with your name and send in a  full perm snapshot of your styling together with an explanation of your inspiration ( in less than 100 words) and a full style card of your outfit.
3. Send to Aphrodite Brianna by Midnight SLT 30th November.
4. A panel of judges from Maniera will select the top 15 entries.
5. The top 15 will walk in a contest to be held on Saturday 10th December at 3pm.
6. The practices  will be held on Thursday 8th December at 2pm and 6pm. You MUST attend ONE of these times.
