C o n c e p t ~
CHIC Management began June 4th 2010 with our first event “The Black and Blue Fair”. Items were created and sold in a small venue with mental health facts printed on the walls, and information about mental health issues in note dispensers and put inside some of the product boxes (where designers agreed).
CHIC all began with my passion to spread the word about mental health and its affect on absolutely everything we do. Including the people we know, how we interact with them, how they react to us… everything. We covered issues that were wide ranging like bullying, to more specific like anorexia nervosa.
This February I’d like to go back to CHIC’s roots and using the reputation CHIC has accumulated over the years remind people about the serious issues that I feel so strongly about.

For this event we will be splitting everyone up into themes. Items will be displayed within their theme collection. To counteract mental health stigma, the words won’t be about suffering, but about hope.
Please note that this is an AWARENESS event, not a charity event (although we will have the information about the charities at the event).

Chic Management: CULTURE Shock 2011

Culture Shock 2011

The first annual “Culture Shock” event in May 2011 (May 1st – May 22nd) aims to be a large and important event for the Secondlife fashion culture. Celebrating trends and trendsetters within our business, and incorperating music and art, all with reflections of our own personal first life cultures depicted in our creations. It is brought to you by CHIC Management (www.chic-management.com) and sponsored by Modavia Productions who will be providing exclusive coverage of some of the new designs available at the event on their blog – http://www.modaviafashionmarketing.com/wordpress – in the lead up to, and duration of, the event.

174 Store spaces will be available for the showcasing of products, including a mandatory minimum of 3 new and exclusive items each – contributing 50 – 100% of their profit to charity.

We will have regular sets of music in the second and third week of the event and on the opening day of the event.

The intention is to remain focused on the products, showcasing brands at their best, working with those at the top of their field as CHIC has grown a reputation for doing…
