The Fashion Teller: Seven Deadly Sins +PRIDE+

THE FASHION TELLER

Presents:

SEVEN DEADLY SINS:

PRIDE

A sin of desire to be more important or attractive than others, failing to give compliments to others though they may be deserving of them, and excessive love of self.

In feudal Japan, the most stunning geisha in the land was prideful of her beauty and charm. blackLiquid Tokyoska as the Sin of Pride casted her bewitching spell which made the people selfish and indifferent that led to total ruin and desolation.

CONFESSIONS MODEL SPOTLIGHT: blackLiquid Tokyoska

Our next model spotlight is a fresh face who took the SL fashion world by storm. In the very short time that she has been modeling, she has risen to great heights and won many prestigious awards in the fashion industry including winning Miss Gems & Kisses 2010, Face of Alatiel 2010, Miss Virtual World Finalist 2011 and selected as a Modavia SUPERMODEL to name a few achievements. To top it off, She is a very talented stylist, photographer and builder. She is also the creator of KABUKI which is known for their unique extravagant shows and amazing runways.

No one can deny her unique look and amazing fashion style, Welcome blackLiquid Tokyoska.

Q: Please tell us about yourself how you ventured into the modelling industry.

bT: I am a model, stylist, photographer and shape maker in sl. I am highly creative and always like to keep busy. Some would say I am quite eccentric or avant garde, I feel that I am strong, interesting, smart, creative, spiritual & generous. I am someone who would be considered the eternal student always learning and exploring, prior to modeling I had been on sl for a few years and had been a successful business owner, The time came in July 2009 that I was fed up with my sl life and needed a sea-change, having been in close personal contact with Eshi Otawara and also having another friend who was a model I decided plunge myself into the deep end of sl fashion. I had been a model in rl from the ages 15-21. Being an artist photographer and avant garde fashionista computer geek in rl, it was only natural that this is the direction I took. Without a doubt the best decision I ever made regarding my fulfillment and joy in sl modeling makes me smile everyday.

Q: Please tell us about some of your accomplishments within the modelling industry and describe what would be one of the most defining moments of your modelling career.

bT: In my short career I have been lucky enough to have many things I would count as accomplishments, I think firstly the fact that I have been in at least one show most weekends since I began modeling to be a wonderful achievement. Of course, being the muse of Eshi Otawara, winning Miss Gems & Kisses 2010, winning the Face Of Alatiel 2010, having Bliss Benningborough & Dianny3636 Aeon name designs after me and being chosen as one of the few handpicked models to represent VIOLATOR. The most defining moment of my modeling career thus far would have to be making into the top 20 being selected as a Modavia model and being photographed for the MFD13.

Q: You have certainly established yourself well within the modelling industry. Please tell us what you believe are the essential elements to being a successful model. Do you have any advice for aspiring models?

bT: Hard work, drive, motivation, effervescence, attention to detail, grace, poise, uniqueness, strength of character, having a confidence factor yet still remaining humble, being flexible, creative, passionate, dedicated, clever, quick thinking, able to take direction well, be able to sell ANYTHING!.focused, well prepared, and open minded, professional attitude, perfectly styled, super organized, on time, fresh, lively & marketable. Its a long list and I am sure there are many more things we can conjure up but I don’t want to loose peoples interest. My advice to aspiring models is to get good training @ at a large academy like AVENUE Academy, Learn all you can from every source be a self starter work on establishing yourself in the industry by the means of building your portfolio and networking going to shows and submerging yourself into the world of sl fashion. Be strong and confident don’t doubt yourself always give 100% make sure you are happy with the way you look your character will shine though your avatar.

Q: What do you like and dislike about modelling?

bT: I love mostly everything about modeling however the only thing I do not like is insecure people, who are intimidated by my confidence and try to judge me or pin things onto me that simply aren’t true, it is sad but the more you archive in sl modeling the more people write you hate mail! you have to try your best to have a thick skin and giggle and pity the poor people that need to make up lies about you in order for them to feel good about themselves.

Q: Finally, please tell us what motivates you to be a model. Who inspires you the most and what is your inspiration?

bT: Creativity, flexibility and change are my most inspiring factors To name but a few, true artists Like Deliziosa Vendetta, Eshi Otawara, soraya Vaher are the kinds of people who are my biggest inspiration and drive me to learn and grow…. I know there are many more gorgeous and talented designers that truly inspire me also thank you to all of them… my inventory is stocked full of your delights x.

Thank you blackLiquid Tokyoska for letting us interview you and sharing your modeling tips to our readers.
Please give her some love and comments.

CONFESSIONS Agency Spotlight: .::KABUKI::.

Kabuki-Logo-For-Picks-Section

MEET One of the Newest Modeling Agency on the Block that’s already turning heads: .::KABUKI::.

KABUKI provides SL’s fashion industry with dynamic exceptional top models for – catwalk, print and mannequin.
Kabuki Creator blackLiquid Tokyoska works her magic in providing a breathtaking runway show with her skills in runway and set design as well as impeccable fashion taste. Her team includes ChloeRose Constantine KABUKI VP and her P.A. Lela Exonar, KABUKI Offical writers, Hollee Zora, Aspen Parx & Nave Fall. BurningBright Nightfire & Naiya Kazyanenko as runway managers. Rhonda Pennell liason & joined by blackLiquid and Chloe as style staff.

KABUKI will always have very progressive ideals, and will strive to push the boundaries creatively. We have an open minded and open door policy for all models including staff of other agencies, who sometimes are overlooked. We are really not out to compete with anyone, Our main aim is to create, share, and inspire.

Lucky for you, KABUKI are accepting applications from highly skilled professional models.
Let’s ask KABUKI Creator blackLiquid Tokyoska what it takes to be a KABUKI MODEL.

Q: What attributes must a model possess in order to gain admission into your agency?

BT: Uniqueness! A strong sense of personal style, passion for the industry and focused drama free attitude. I’m looking for someone who is obviously well put together & switched on. Runway experience is very important. A person that has previous training at an academy, and someone with a good work ethic.

Q: There is a general perception amongst models that some agencies only hire those who have established a reputable name for themselves, whether it be with a top-tier agency or otherwise. Is this important to you? Model training aside, are you willing to take a chance on a model who is new to the industry?

BT: I am absolutely willing to take a chance on a model who is new to the industry! This is fashion, ever changing in constant flux, without new blood–it’s been done before. New models are as fundamental to it’s success in general as the highly experienced top models, the mix is what keeps things interesting.

Q:Is a potential candidate for your agency required to undertake training specifically with your model academy?

BT: We do not have a modeling academy nor do we have any plans for one, but if it was clear the model needed training, personally I would recommend AVENUE Academy.

blackLiquid Tokyoska

Thank YOU blackLiquid Tokyoska and KABUKI for letting us interview you and sharing to our readers what KABUKI is all about. =)

PLEASE leave some comments about KABUKI and anything else you would like to share. TY!
