Over the last 2 years, I have witnessed the quality and uniqueness of Second Life Home & Garden stores’ creations develop in a great way. This virtual world that we love is an amazing platform for creating and making beautiful dreams come to some sort of reality.

As you probably know, especially if you are a follower of my blog, I am very passionate about great design and work. I am a huge fan of realism and I believe in Second Life, the quality of talent is that great now that we can make spaces both indoors and outdoors, look so amazing that we envision it being in our Real Lives also.

Earlier this year, I created the Love To Decorate Flickr group, which now holds more than 1,600 members and 13,000 photos. It has become a great resource for me, so good that I check it every single day…

I have been sitting on something that I’ve wanted to do for a while and now, I feel it is the right time. A new year is approaching, which for me means new projects and new adventures.

Day 5 – Hawaiian Adventure

What I thought would be a simple, relaxed day at the resort, turned into something quite amazing! Amazing for me anyway, because I have never experienced anything like it before.

After getting up, we walked down to the lagoon, got some sun loungers and got our spot in the less crowded corner of the beach. I love it there because the view of the water hitting the rocks is awesome, and because it is so shallow there, you can see all kinds of fish and sea life swimming around from where you sit. It’s awesome!

Day 4 – Hawaiian Adventure

So much to write about tonight after our adventure today! We woke up bright and early to catch our 9am bus that took us, and a few other hotel guests on a 9 hour tour of Oahu. We pretty much saw most of the island and it was AMAZING!

From our hotel we headed up to the mountains via the H3 freeway, which apparently is the newest of the freeways here on Oahu and cost around 17 billion dollars to create, but in my opinion, it is worth every single dime because the views are just incredible. Unlike anything I have seen before and it is actually a freeway that makes you WANT to drive on it, rather than avoid! It took us all the way through the valleys and we ended up at a mountain lookout that was out of this world. Awesome views…even a few wild cats and…

Day 3 – Hawaiian Adventure

Another awesome day is coming to a close. Although this is ”Day 3”, it is only our second full day on the island and it was another great one!

The weather was a little cloudier this morning. We got up, had breakfast in on our balcony looking at the mountains and I went down to get an Ice Tea at Starbucks and a walk along the beach. The hotel is awesome because it has it’s own Starbucks…that makes me very happy because I’m an addict! So I had my Ice Tea and took a stroll to my little spot over looking the ocean and sat there relaxing until Rico came to meet me after his shower.

The clouds soon disappeared and it was another hot day. Well, I’m not sure if 85F is considered as ”hot” in Hawaii, but compared to 25F back in Chicago…it is tropical! Was so perfect…

Day 2 – Hawaiian Adventure

Today has been another amazing day. We were woken this morning to a beautiful sunrise outside of our window. Was pretty to watch. Although we fell back asleep again right after and woke up a couple of hours later to more glorious sunshine!

I giggled, because a couple of weeks ago I posted on my Facebook that I was a bit nervous about going in the Ocean because it has just never been my thing. Always afraid of what is lurking around my feet…especially when I cannot see the bottom. However today, I was just simply in Island mood I guess…got right in there and it was great! So nice to swim in the Pacific!

We booked a few outings today for next week. Shall be going on a full island tour Monday, we also have Dolphin and Whale scuba diving too! Really looking forward to it! Amazing huh? Last…

Day One – Hawaiian Adventure!

I smell of chlorine. Just been out for a late night dip in the pool and jacuzzi after dinner. Amazing! I have been to quite a few places in the world, but Hawaii is like no other. I wanted to write in my blog, a write up of each day. To share this special trip myself and my hubby are taking together, and to also keep it as a memory for me.

The flight was long. Did you know it is a longer flight time and distance from Chicago to Honolulu than it is from London to Chicago…I found that out over the last few weeks. So much traveling! But all for good reasons and worthwhile in the end.
