This is a project we have kept secret for a little while, as part of the Spring Celebrations for OGLAM. We are all truly excited to bring this to you today! Check out the exclusive items from our OGlam Designers and hope you enjoy it!

Spring has arrived and with it brings new horizons at OGlam.  We have a new partner, The Grove, and we are so very proud to be a part of this unique community. Together we share the same innovative spirit, which strengthens our ability to bring SL a single living experience for residents and shoppers alike. Our future is bright!

To celebrate this new endeavor, the OGlam team brings you a shopping experience displayed in a stunning catalog. This new approach, showcases our fabulous designers here at OGlam Shopping, in a book filled with highlights of their work and the EXCLUSIVE designs created for this celebratory spring event.  Each designer featured created one exclusive item and these will be available only at their OGlam Shopping location.

Our vision is unique, we wanted to convey how accessible fashion can be to all. It’s about creating styles that anyone can see themselves in, from the fashion elite to the casually chic.  OGlam Shopping prides itself on showcasing designers with exceptional creative vision and community spirit. Each have been incredibly supportive of us and we will continue to dedicate ourselves to showcasing their amazing talent.

When we started this project we thought this would be a single book to celebrate, but we saw this as a wonderful way to showcase the community we love so much.  Our dream grew quickly and we will make this catalogue part of our image, to be published only four times per year. We will collaborate with our designers to provide a unique seasonal celebration for the SL community to enjoy!

Miss Brazil Virtual 2012


It is great pleasure that Le Coûte team announces the Miss Brazil 2012 Contest. We will choose the best female beauty between Brazilian and non Brazilian girls.

The contest is not restricted only for Brazilian avatars. Avatars of other nationalities can participate, but they need to have some knowledge about Brazil.

If you think you can be the next Miss Brazil check these rules.

How to participate:

♚ The contest will have 2 auditions, where the oficial candidates will be chosen for the Miss Brazil 2012.

♚ It is necessary to send a picture of you face with full permission, size 512X512 that should be renamed as MISS BRAZIL 2012 (your name) to Nika Malus or Shaili Alex.

♚ A panel will be displayed at Le Coûte Agency with all the candidate pictures.

♚ Photoshop manipulated photos are permitted, as long as the avatar’s characteristics are not altered.

♚ We will evaluate the pictures and choose the models we will want to see at the live audition.

♚ During the live audition you must wear a create outfit composition that will astonish the judges. The beauty, look, poses and runway abilities will be evaluated.

♚ The chosen models will be annouced in the agency group and they will be invited to join the oficial Miss Brazil 2012 contest group.

♚ It is mandatory to join the LE COUTE Update Group (secondlife:///app/group/2e6bb4e3-9e2b-ab0f-32e1-c3189c3e467b/about)

♕ Ps: Absence will not be tolerated and there is no possibility of negociation to change the hours, voice will probably be necessary in the tests through the competition.

The choosen charity for this event is Médecins Sans Frontières (for the second year).

The Grove Country Club Estates (The Grove), a private, country club themed residential community, and Outrageous Glamour (OGlam), a Second Life fashion and style marketing innovator, today announce a cooperative agreement signaling a move towards merging aspects of their organizations. Together The Grove and Oglam will provide the Second Life community the convenience of elegant, luxury living combined with a newly enhanced shopping experience in a collaboration unlike anything else in-world.

“About a year ago, I visited The Grove and since the very first moment I was amazed at what my eyes discovered. Since that day, I dreamed to be a part of this community, not only as a resident but as a partner. The POWER of Words


WORDS…. It can start a war or bring forth peace. It can be used to condemn or give praise. It can brighten someone’s day or bring misery and pain. Words are free and we often throw it around without thought of the consequences. I certainly made a lot of mistakes in my life using words to hurt and inflict pain. We are all human and we are not failure proof.  The beauty is words can also be used to forgive and provide an inspiration to others. THINK before you speak. KNOW before you write. Use your words positively and make others smile. They say the pen is mightier than the sword.

CSLTM Designer Spotlight: Didier Rascon of House of Europe



It has been awhile since I’ve done the CSLTM Spotlights and I thought it is time to get back to doing them since they have been so popular with the readers. There are so many amazing models and designers out there that everyone should know about and I’d like to start spotlighting them here in CSLTM again, as well as refresh the previous spotlights. I will also continue my spotlights on SL Agencies and start a spotlight on SL Photographers.

It is with great honor and pleasure to present a very talented designer and good friend: Didier Rascon.
He is a man of many talents.Everything he takes on, he does with passion and professionalism from designing to modeling and photography. He is the creator of the brand, HOUSE of EUROPE which houses some extraordinary collections.

Q: Please tell us about yourself and what you consider your defining characteristics as a designer that makes you unique and stand out from the rest. Can u tell us about your brand and what the customers can expect?

DR: As a fashion designer, I always tried to stay close to my own tastes and always remain faithful to the French and Italian designers that I admire in real life. I take my inspiration in a lot of great designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Jean-Claude Jitrois, Valentino … etc., and I do my best to honor them in Second Life. I think there are many talented designers in Second Life, but we all have a very different style and that’s what makes us unique!

Q: What is your view of SL Fashion and how did you venture into the SL Fashion industry?

DR: Before coming to Second Life, I had a rough look on fashion and I had a pretty closed mind “standard” on how to dress. When I started this game, I immediately began to create clothes, but only for my own use because I found it more “economic”! But thanks to my ability to use photoshop, my friends asked me to sell my creations and that is how I opened my first shop. It was so much fun that I discovered a true passion. I then explored the treasures of the world of fashion in Second Life and I’ve become addicted!

House of Europe: Phillip

Q: What are some of your accomplishments within the fashion industry and describe what would be one of the most defining moments of your career as a designer? What do you think are keys to your success?

DR: I think the best reward I could receive so far is the one of the public … I am always very moved when I receive a message from a client who told me he likes a lot like my creations, or when people asks me a unique and special creation for a contest! It is through them that I continue today and it is for them that I always give the best of myself. Then there is also recognition of the great institutions of fashion in Second Life … I had the joy of being invited to participate in the BOSL Fashion Week 2011 for two shows, or to be interviewed by the magazine AVENUE  in September 2011 … There was also the SLTV show of the Japan community who received me as a guest, and finally this interview for the blog CSLTM that is a true honor 🙂

Q: You have certainly established yourself well within the fashion  industry. Please tell us what you believe are the essential elements to being a successful designer.  Do you have any advice for aspiring designers?

DR: It takes patience to become a recognized designer in Second Life. This takes time, and a lot of work. Then you have to bring out your imagination and, above all, has to remain faith in your own tastes. Do not try to copy other designers, it will get you nothing at all, because in the end there will be no personality behind your creations. Dare to be yourself and be surrounded by people with enough judgement to tell you if you do well or not! Then it is true that an excellent communication is essential to any designer who wants to get out quickly, but it takes a lot of financial investment
My advice to young designers: Do not try to be better than others, but try to be better than yourself.

House of Europe: Angelik

Q: What do you like and dislike about designing and the fashion industry? Any advice on the models wearing your designs?

DR: What I like about the creative process is the production of textures! I always have in mind a clear idea of what I want, so I always start to use photoshop to give life to my ideas. And what I dislike is my inability to create my own prims to give life to the exact image I have of my creations. I am unable to use 3D software to create sculpties and so I have to use those that are sold full perm. To my clients I can just ask them not to hesitate to contact me if they find a problem in my creations!

Q: What motivates you to be a  designer? Who inspires you the most and what is your inspiration? What trend in fashion attracts you the most and drives your designs?

DR: As I said in my previous replies, I hold a deep admiration to the French and Italian designers. European high fashion is an institution for decades and continues to inspire young designers around the world. Beyond fashion, the French Haute Couture produces real works of art, and I try my best to get inspiration from it.

House of Europe: Mariella

Q:  What are your plans for the future? Any new designs or projects we can look forward to?

DR: I don’t have any plans really … i just work when i have time lol .. and also when i really have a good idea in mind ! So i just do things like they come to me with no plans 🙂 It’s how i deal it and it works well for me 🙂

Q:  Is there anything else that you would like to add?

DR: I want to thank all of the modelling agencies, magazines, models and friends that helped me making “House of Europe” to born in Second Life 🙂

On January 29th, the Dazzlers performed their Showcase event to a packed house, and many audience members bravely removed attachments to help alleviate lag. Dancers and audience alike remained steadfast against all odds and, in the end, everyone said they would do it again.

And guess what?! Yes folks, the Dazzlers are going to do it again! In fact, there will be TWO separate performances: March 24th and March 31st, both at 2pm SLT. But this time they’ll be performing as Dazzlers for Life and the Showcase becomes a charity event benefitting Relay For Life, the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising activity.

So, once again, this is your invitation to experience a set of exciting dance performances from ballet to urban to burlesque! If you couldn’t make it the first time, come on out and see what you missed. There will be fantastic music, great costumes and colorful sets at the beautiful Pyramid Theatre. See you there!

Dazzlers Inc. is a team of dancers., cheerleaders and spokesmodels in the virtual world of SL, appearing and performing at charity events, paid performances and appearances, and modeling events. This talented group of performers are ladies and gentlemen in every sense of the word, displaying grace and style in everything they do. Each member of Dazzlers Inc. is carefully chosen not only for their avatar’s appearance, but for the personality behind the avatar. Their poise and intelligence carry them well beyond being merely performers, making Dazzlers Inc. the perfect choice for any event where you want the best and classiest professionals to add a touch of exciting glamor and beauty.

Dazzlers Inc. is directed by Pyper Dollinger. Pyper Dollinger has been a dancer in RL since the age of 3 and danced hard and strong for 25 wonderful years. She has performed with the Houston Ballet Company and has taken her dance in many directions. She danced the role of Cinderella, Dorothy and many other lead and corp roles, but those were her favorites. From dancer to teacher to cheerleader, dance has always been in her heart and blood. During college, she was a dance major at Southern Illinois University and also cheered for the NFL St. Louis Professional Cheerleaders and Dancers, Inc. Classical ballet, jazz and cheer were her favorites. Now in Second Life, she is Owner of Dazzlers Inc, Timeless Model Agency, Head Choreographer for the SFL Cheerleaders and Team Captain for the 2010 SFL All Star Cheerleaders. She is a model for Glance International, AVENUE, SL Illustrated, Butterfly, TOMA, Second Look Models and Swirl….She is working hard to get the concept of dance into SL and to create amazing entertainment with creative, fun and beautiful choreography.
