I am so happy and honored to present our next CSLTM Designer Spotlight:
Enzo Champagne
Enzo Champagne is the designer genius behind the amazing wonderful label, Champagne! Sparkling Fashion.
I have been a long time admirer of his creative designs because of its unique elegance and sophistication. Wearing his outfits always makes me feel special and important as if I am living the high life. Each texture and little intricate details add a touch of magic to each design, making the wearer sparkle and feel glamorous. It was such an honor to wear his design “The Prince of Egypt” (pictured below) as my National Costume at Mister Virtual World 2010. He is a very talented designer but what really impressed me about him is he is a very nice and friendly guy.

Please welcome one of BOSL Magazine’s Top Ten Hottest Singles and one of Second Life’s Top Designers: Enzo Champagne.
Q: Please tell us about yourself and what you consider your defining characteristics as a designer that makes you unique and stand out from the rest. Can u tell us about your brand and what the customers can expect?
EC: Definition of my brand is in the name “CHAMPAGNE!sparkling Fashion” for a glittering life , something chic making people happy. What my customers expectation are…well..lol you would have to ask them..but as long as I can continue to create a line of designs that appeal both men and women…that is what I strive for. I want them to see the passion that goes into my work..and to continue to bring joy to all who choose to wear my designs.
Q: What is your view of SL Fashion and how did you venture into the SL Fashion industry?
EC: Well there are many talented people on sl , it’s always a great thing to see how much the creativity drive people , we can dream in different style, diversity is the best thing I think in the fashion industry, each people can find each other in each style, that’s a marvelous opportunity.
I started out how by learning , as I said many times it ‘s not the same way to make one clothe on sl than rl , so I had to learn very hard how to design for sl , it was hard and so long but I had the motivation and took patience for myself. After I rented a little spot to place a small store where I sold 12 dresses , it was a great souvenir of happiness for me but thankfully things grew fast after that.
Q: What are some of your accomplishments within the fashion industry and describe what would be one of the most defining moments of your career as a designer? What do you think are keys to your success?
EC: First success is to sell your products ! You can say you’re a great designer but if people don’t like what you do it’s sad to keep them for yourself. Second..are shows my designs are featured in. I am always like a child when I see models on runways who wear my clothes in front of audience I’m so happy to see them wearing, it’s my little favorite time and good to share with others. Third I’m always happy too when I have special demands for magazines or articles or projects, it means so much for me and thanks a lot to them for the interest for my brand. I have not the keys of the success but I think the love for what you do in each details is very important , for all what you will do , do it with love and cherish it.

Q: You have certainly established yourself well within the fashion industry. Please tell us what you believe are the essential elements to being a successful designer. Do you have any advice for aspiring designers?
EC: Don’t have fear of yourself or others, express yourself like you would , explore new things !
As far as new comers….Trust and believe you can accomplish anything you want here..if you have the drive, determination and passion for anything that you do. If you love and believe in what you do, then you can never fail at it. Success is always on your side…if you only believe and have faith enough in your dreams.
Q: What do you like and dislike about designing and the fashion industry? Any advice on the models wearing your designs?
EC: Like I said diversity is the best thing here in sl fashion , what I dislike it’s sometimes we are stopped by technical things like not enough attachments , problems of shapes too , because we imagine one outfit to fit on one “model” shape but some want to keep big shapes parts like out “back-side” or woman’s chest and say after… “Why does this dress not like it is on the pic?”
Yes it happens, and most people don’t understand to not destruct the appearance of one dress to fit it perfectly. You can have some shape settings , but I respect the choice too of people who want to keep their shapes like they want but they have to understand they have to adjust or modify after. I don’t have that issue of course with my models, but I would stress the fact that any model, now matter what designs they wear, take care in editing all prims properly for the most advantageous appearance that the outfit allows.
Q: What motivates you to be a designer? Who inspires you the most and what is your inspiration? What trend in fashion attracts you the most and drives your designs?
EC: Making people happy and express myself , it’s my rl private joy to come here and work for this world and make it better I hope.
In my top designers, who make me becoming what I am , is for sure Thierry Mugler. I loved to see his fashion shows , each one was a real show with marvelous creatures on runway it was so powerful and glamor , and the second one was Mr Yves Saint Laurent for his elegance. I had the chance to know . Today there are a lot I love too , but these two rl designers are definitely the firsts who transmit me emotions and their love for the fashion world, who will ever inspire me .
Q: What are your plans for the future? Any new designs or projects we can look forward to?
EC: Sure I have a lot coming soon, some to make the show , some to bewitch your partner , some to shine for others , a lot are coming , and for sure winter and Christmas as well. I love the holidays..its the most exciting time to design!
Q: Is there anything else that you would like to add?
EC: Just to thank all who believe in me , my friends, my staff, and my customers , thanks to you to give me the energy to continue my dream!
