It is an honor to introduce to you our next Model Spotlight: Amber Quinzet.
She has style, grace and beauty all her own that is reminiscent of Old Hollywood Glamour, yet this beautiful redhead is spunky and vivacious. She is professional, reliable and truly a role model due to her unique elegant styling and humble attitude. She is one of my best friends and one of the few people I asked for modelling advice. She is the lead Fashion Manager at SuperElite Agency.
Please give some love to Amber Quinzet.
Q: Please tell us about yourself how you ventured into the modelling industry.
AQ: I have always had a love of clothing and whilst shopping I heard about a few fashion shows and decided to take a look. I had never realized how big an industry fashion and modelling were on SL. I loved what I saw and asked a friend who is a Fashion Writer advice about the best academies. I started my first ever venture into modelling under with the brilliant tuition of the Avenue Academy teachers.
Q: Please tell us about some of your accomplishments within the modelling industry and describe what would be one of the most defining moments of your modelling career.
AQ: Graduating from Avenue and my subsequent academies has been a major achievement. I was privilege to be involved in London Fashion Week and the show that involved RL Designers. I was one of the Top 10 Finalist for Miss Supersearch Autumn and first runner up for Miss VR International, I am proud to be a My Precious Model for Agnes Finney and a House of Beningborough Show Elite Show Model. In addition to this I am proud to now be an Assistant Manager and Instructor with The SuperElite Academy and Agency.
Q: You have certainly established yourself well within the modelling industry. Please tell us what you believe are the essential elements to being a successful model. Do you have any advice for aspiring models?
AQ: I think firstly training. Find an academy that covers all the basics in detail and continuous development is good. Make your own style, don’t copy others, do your homework and be unique. Remember to be professional in attitude and manner, that means being timely, flexible and attentive to your employer and agencies. Most of all enjoy it, it can be stressful but satisfaction of a well done from the designer and agency you are working for are well worth it.
Q: What do you like and dislike about modelling?
AQ: I love the way I can be creative and often inventive in order to bring the designers work to life. I also love the friends i have made through my modelling and the support they give me, it makes for a good show when you have that family feeling. I particularly dislike lag but it is something you have to learn to live with. However, I wish the lindens would do something about their recent instability of sims on SL.
Q: Please tell us what motivates you to be a model. Who inspires you the most and what is your inspiration?
AQ: I have always loved fashion and to be able to work within that arena really is a privilege. Receiving the well dones and seeing how happy a designer/photographer is when you have done a great job really does motivate me. Im in awe of all of the SL designers who can create such amazing work. My biggest inspirations are Kryptonia Paperdoll who was my first ever instructor and is a talented lady in all things, Kay Fairey for her uniqueness and style and finally my hubby Mangosio Lohner for his support and encouragement when I don’t think things are going my way.
Q: What are your plans and goals for the future in modeling?
AQ: I am taking much more of an active role in The SuperElite Agency and Academy which is helping me understand more about the other side of modelling, the hard work that people don’t often see. Organizing models, planning walks, writing scripts, hosting etc don’t just happen, lots of work is involved to get it right. I really enjoy my instructing and want to continue to help develop those new up and coming models.
Q: Is there anything else that you would like to add?
AQ: Just to say thanks to all my amazing friends and family, they know who they are. SL and this modelling world just wouldnt be the same without there constant support. Hugsss!!!!
